I offer exciting fishing trips for salmon and steelhead as well as near shore bottom fishing. Many people believe that great fishing opportunities only exist in the ocean. While good fishing does exist there so do tidewater and river fishing where the boat ride is much smoother, more relaxing and without the use of motion sickness medication! For those who enjoy fishing in the ocean, I offer combined salmon/bottom fishing in the same day, ocean conditions permitting.
I am a 4th generation fisherman in the Lincoln County area. I have been fishing these rivers for decades with a focus on the SILETZ RIVER, ALSEA RIVER and the YAQUINA RIVER. I also fish the NESTUCCA RIVER, in Tillamook County and the SIUSLAW RIVER in Lane County. I offer fishing adventures for any age and skill level.
Fall salmon begin entering our estuaries in August and are usually done spawning by November. Fall Chinook season provides excellent opportunities for larger salmon, many times over 40 pounds. Spring Chinook season begins in May through July. Spring Chinook are known for their ‘fight’ and flavor. Winter Steelhead season begins in November ending in March. Winter Steelhead is also known for their ‘fight’, but is a milder flavor of fish.
I have several tried-and-true ‘old school’ philosophies in catching fish; however, I do stay on top of the most current trends and gear. Bait, bobber and eggs, and spinners are a few of the methods I use to catch fish.

Dungeness crabbing trips can also be booked, as the Central Coast river estuaries produce an abundant amount of Dungeness crab! Crabbing is not only fun, but its’ non-stop action makes for exciting and delicious memories.
